Sacred Geometry and Sound
Sacred Geometry, Sound and Harmonics.
For over ten years I have been juggling with a collection of ideas about sacred geometry, the harmonics of sound, and the zero point field, knowing intuitively that behind these concepts lay an astounding secret. It was last week when I read Richard Merrick’s article explaining his research into what he calls ‘interference theory’ that the last piece of the puzzle fell into place. It was an ‘Ah Ha’ moment for me because suddenly I began to grasp how we are formed and how we can work with these concepts to bring about changes that heal.
At the beginning of this search I was really influenced by the work Tom Kenyon was doing with sound. He spoke of the links between sacred geometry and the evolution of consciousness, how it was possible to measure human emotion using sound frequencies and that the vibrational ratio of Love is 1.618 - the ration of the ‘Golden Mean’. Further more as we experience being loved and cared for our DNA responds by becoming more orderly and well regulated. The heart’s electromagnetic frequencies are the most powerful in the body. Its rhythmic and harmonious beat aligns itself easily to the geometry of sound. DNA itself can be repaired by the sound frequency of 528 Hertz. This note is part of a six note scale called the Solfeggio Scale which the Catholic Church suppressed during the reformation because of the powerfully spiritual influences the sounds were having on the congregation.
Now through the instantaneous of the Internet, you can go to utube and listen to these sounds. You can also buy a 528 Hz tuning fork which can be placed -vibrating - on the various Chakras - especially the 6th Chakra (the third eye) which is called by some the centre of the sacred geometry of creation.
The science of Cymatrics, coined by Hans Jenny early last century, shows how frequency creates geometric patterns. He experimented with various powders and liquids, placing them on flat surfaces then using sound he would vibrate these plates so that at a certain rate a clear geometric pattern would emerge; the higher the vibratory sound, the more complex the pattern.
Crop Circles show these types of complex geometric patterns which makes me wonder if frequency is part of the technology being used to create these beautiful patterns spreading across the landscape in so many countries.
In the opening pages of The Power of Limits, the author G.Doczi asks why apple blossoms always have five petals. His beautifully illustrated and documented book explore the wonders of the geometrical designs found in the structural form of all life, from seashells to architucture, and from flowers to the human body. Doczi demonstrates clearly and beautifully how we are dealing with geometry that connects us to the Divine Force.
It must be said at this point that many times during Mankind’s history this sacred knowledge has risen to the surface. Both the Egyptian and Greek civilisations understood the relationship between mathematics, sound and form, and this knowledge rose again in the Renaissance only to be sneered at by those rational minds driving our own Age of Enlightenment - so nothing written here is new.
But always my question has been how does Divine Intelligence create form. Although I revere the intricate formation of a daisy or the magnificent cut of an octahedron crystal I am no mathematician, meaning that when I have to deal with the signs and symbols of numbers I become overwhelmed. I envy those who can understand and explore the anatomy of these sacred forms, indeed I invite people to correct any mathematical mistake I might make here. My quest has always been to tear away the curtain of reason blocking my experience of The Divine, but I have to use intuition instead of hard science to do this
Through a slow dawning of what quantum physics what revealing I began to grasp the concept of a field of energy - the grid-like pattern of energy - that exists all around and through us. It is known as zero-point-field. When I realised that we are surrounded by vibrating energies in a complex form of spiraling lattice-work I began to link the frequencies that create geometrical forms with this infinite, cosmic grid and was able to associate what I call the All Pervading Intelligence (God) with this grid-like energy. But I still was not able to connect all the dots - not until I read Richard Merrick’s article in this month’s Nexus Magazine.
Richard is a scholar and a musician so I had to struggle with the familiar mathematical symbols and signs wriggling across the pages of his article, nevertheless when I read his ideas about the resonance of cells, the DNA structure, and the interaction with the resonance of the energy field we call space, the penny started to drop. Richard is suggesting that space is interacting with the structure of life. My Ah Ha moment was when I was able to envisage how the sounds being emitted by the high frequency zero point field energy were continually interacting with the mass of denser energy known as Matter, creating geometrically perfect forms called life. Put another way, the underlying pattern of all life is held within these high frequency sounds, part of the Intelligence of this energy field we live within. The bible should open with this statement: “In the beginning there was sound.” Sound being the frequency waves which harmonically interact to create life-forms within matter.
Now these findings may seem of little importance to many, but if sound can create form, then sound can also heal. Chanting and immersing oneself in complex musical sound can assist an expansion of awareness. JS Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Avo Part and many other composers have given us such music, and there are many ancient chants that can be found and used by searching the Internet. As well as this, using our own voice can bring harmony into our lives.
For me though, the name of the game is expanding our collective consciousness. Understanding this Divine process is a step towards this.
