Exercise to Open Your Heart

LOVE is an energy. Unseen, as electricty is unseen, yet existing everywhere.

The heart is the access point. Tap into LOVE through your heart.

To do this, sit quietly, relax and breathe deeply. When you are relaxed begin to imagine a person you have deep feelings for. Bring the image of this peron into your mind. Feel the life of this person, feel the love you have for this person, and allow this feeling to expand and grow as you sit quietly. Gradually this warm, joyous feeling will fill your body, fill your mind, and most importantly, fill your heart. By this simple act your have opened your heart. You have allowed the energy of LOVE to flood your being. 

Another method is to sit quitly, relax and breathe deeply. Now gently begin to imagine you are breathing through the centre of your chest. Perhaps you could place an imaginary nose in the centre of your chest so that you begin to breathe in from this point. This simply mediatation will trigger a mechanism that will begin to open your heart.

Another method that can be used in conjunction with the two already mentioned is to sit queitly listening to music. Classical music - perhaps Mozart - is especially benificial, but any music that your love will do. Listen intently and pretend that you have an ear in the centre of your chest so you can listen to the sounds this way. Now bring your attention back to breathing through your chest and gently allow the notes to vibrate at various points in your body. Simple piano pieces are wonderful for this exercise. Begin to concentrate on the sounds as you are breathing through your chest. Allow the feelings of joy that arises from this beautiful music to fill your entire being, and know that you are opening your heart.

Use all three methods over and over until your can automatically open your heart and allow the energy of LOVE to wash through you at any time, in any situation.
