Writing The ‘Hidden Realm’

My intention in writing this novel - The Hidden Realm - was to speak to teenagers about subjects that were not available to them in school. As a former teacher I could feel how frustrated many of these children were/are because there was very little to stimulate their deeper, more mystical, feelings.

The plot brings death into focus and I write about the well known mystical place that millions of people claim to have experienced during a terrible physical trauma, when they have actually died for a brief time. Thousands of people give a similar description of this rather wondrous realm. I speak a lot about earth changes, and factors such as where our solar system sits in the Milky Way Galaxy and the likelyhood that the present global warming is part of a repeating cycle. I suggest that there are ways to communicate with animals and nature, challenging the kids to investigate these other states of consciousness for themselves. All this is hidden inside a fantasy/scientific adventure set in the far north of Australia.

The book recieved praise from The Age Newspaper when it was first published, and has sold reasonably well in Australia. If you would like a copy I am content to sell the book for $5 plus postage so just get in touch.

Many regards to all,

Lyn Willmott
